How do you recommend belt sizing? I’ve recently bought a couple of new belts based on a sizing recommendation to size the belt 2 sizes greater than pants size. I’ve found that this means I’m using the smallest (tightest) hole with lots of belt left over. Yuk! And I don’t plan on gaining weight! 😋

To size a belt properly measure from the heal of the buckle, where the tongue rests, to the hole in use at the other end. A custom made belt will measure that length from the buckle end to the middle hole at the tip end. I punch five holes, measuring from the heal of the buckle to the middle hole. There should be another three inches of leather beyond the last hole. I hope this helps.
